Don’t you just love shopping on a new company’s website? You have to figure out how to find what you want. You navigate an unfamiliar cart and checkout. And– worst of all– you have to get up from the couch to grab your credit card for billing. It’s

Seriously, there’s a reason Amazon made approximately seven thousand trillion dollars last year. People want an easy and convenient online shopping experience. You can give it to them, and boost your business, with an Amazon brand store.

Let’s talk deets.

What Is An Amazon Brand Store?

An Amazon brand store is a virtual storefront where you can create a curated experience for shoppers. Creating one allows visitors to click on your brand name on any product listing and visit an Amazon store that holds all of your listings.

Who Can Create An Amazon Brand Store?

All sellers enrolled in the Amazon Brand Registry can create a brand store, as well as vendors and agencies. Resellers aren’t eligible to create a brand store.

How Does It Work?

Amazon has plenty of information about how to set up your brand store, so I’m not going to waste your time with that. However, here are a few best practices you might want to consider.

You can add as many pages as you need, but you can only use 3 levels, including the homepage. Before you get busy clicking ‘Add a page’ thirty times, map out the hierarchy of your Amazon store. This often mirrors the style you used for your e-commerce website.

Once you design your store and submit it for approval, you’ll likely receive a response within 24 hours, and definitely within 72 hours. Amazon isn’t checking the spelling and grammar of your listings, and they’re not providing feedback about the design you created. Approval is based completely on meeting the content acceptable policy, which means 2 things:

It’s up to you to proofread and triple check the design of your store.

  1. It’s up to you to proofread and triple check the design of your store.
  2. You need to actually read over the guidelines and acceptance policies

Why Do You Need A Brand Store?

You’re competing with almost 2 million sellers on Amazon. A brand store helps you be seen and remembered by consumers.

A strong, well-maintained brand store can increase shopper dwell time by 83% and attract 21% more repeat visitors. What could that mean for your bottom line?

Here are a few of the major perks of an Amazon brand store—

Stronger brand recognition

When shoppers visit your brand store, it provides the experience of visiting your website without you actually having to create a website. They’re not just buying a clever onesie off of Amazon– they’re buying the onesie from a specific Amazon seller.

You can also include a Brand Story that’s displayed in your store and across all of your products. With it, you can showcase the fact that your brand supports a children’s nonprofit or that you hire former convicts who struggle to gain meaningful employment. Highlighting your involvement with social causes is a great way to attract customers.

In addition, you get your own customized URL: www.amazon.com/yourbrand. It’s easy to type, remember, and use as a landing page from your social media accounts.

Mobile optimization

The e-commerce conversion rate is 4.81% for desktops but just 2.25% for mobile devices.

That doesn’t have to be the case for your brand. 30% of Amazon shoppers most often make purchases with their phones. Amazon is already optimized for a great mobile experience, so it doesn’t take much to ensure your brand store is as well.

Attract repeat shoppers

You know that shopper who bought the clever onesie? They got it, they loved it, and now they want more.

But instead of scrolling through pages of baby clothes on Amazon, they’re heading straight back to your Amazon storefront, because now they know they love the products you offer. Once shoppers know they can trust your brand, a brand store makes it easy for them to view your full line of products.

You also have access to a Repeat Purchase Report, where you can discern your most popular items and invest ad money in those specific products.

Better search rankings

A brand store can help your products rank higher on Amazon. And as we all know, higher rankings = more sales.

More effective advertising

Linking sponsored ads to your brand store is a much more effective way to spend your marketing dollars. Instead of pointing visitors toward one product, you’re driving them to your entire collection of products– all readily available to purchase on Amazon.

Want To Level Up Your Brand Store?

It’s not difficult for sellers to create an Amazon brand store. You can choose from three templates or drag and drop blocks to build from scratch. It’s all pretty straightforward, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t require effort.

You need to treat your brand store the way you would your own ecommerce site, and that means including A+ product content and a quality image stack. If you don’t have those, or you feel your storefront isn’t converting, I’d love to help.
