- List: typically used to trigger a welcome flow for new subscribers
- Segment: sent to people who are put into a specific segment
- Metric: ques a flow when people take a certain action

Klaviyo users have earned more than $14.8 billion by utilizing automated emails. I’d say that makes it worth the time and effort to set up a few strong flows!
2. Klaviyo segments automatically and dynamically
Segmenting done well is like finding a golden ticket. You are automatically in because you’re speaking to the very specific wants and needs of a target audience. But figuring out how to segment your subscribers and then placing each individual in the appropriate segment can leave you feeling a little
The good news is that with Klaviyo you don’t have to handle segmentation on your own. Using real time-data and predictive analytics, you’ll receive recommendations on segments you can create and target.
Want to send emails to women under 40 who live in the Midwest and own a dog? Klaviyo will help you do it and help you find other specific groups you can target with personalized emails.
Just look at some of the segments Klaviyo suggests:
- Product-specific audiences

It’s also worth noting that Klaviyo allows you unlimited segments. Want to target 3,000 different populations with individualized emails? Not a problem. (Though I highly recommend you don’t do that for sanity’s sake)
3. Your integration options are nearly endless
Klaviyo integrates with pretty much every eCommerce platform and app you can think of. More than 65,000 Shopify sellers use Klaviyo because of the seamless integration, but that’s just the beginning. It’s also designed to work with Woocommerce, Bigcommerce, Wix, Sales Force, and Amazon, plus business apps like Asana, Slack, EventBrite, and Stripe.
4. Klaviyo emails and forms look good — even if you’re not a graphic designer
Do I think hiring a designer will result in more attractive & responsive emails? Absolutely.
Do I understand that not everyone has the funds to hire a designer? Also yes.
